Melle Phillips is a Brooklyn born and based actor, dancer, singer and writer. With West Indian roots, she embraces her own cultural perspective as a pathway to understanding others. Growing up in New York City laid the ground work for understanding the power that art has to transform anyone and anything. In her life, it’s transformed her from a shy young girl who barely felt comfortable speaking in public, to an(ever conversing) expressive woman committed to the joy of finding and telling a good story. As her motto goes, By pen. By voice. By body. By soul. Any way the story comes, she is willing and receiving to tell it. Melle believes in being equal parts creator and creation. That is what makes life exciting and worth living.

Fun Facts: She loves old studio musicals(especially Singin' In the Rain),roller coasters, and despises chocolate!
