Melle Phillips is a Brooklyn born and based actor, dancer, singer and writer. With Guyanese roots, she embraces her own cultural perspective as a pathway to understanding others. She completed her formative training with Eleo Pomare and John Micheal Goring in New York, holds a B.A. in Creative Writing from Florida State University, and an M.A. in Educational Theatre from New York University where she was a 21st Century Scholar. She is a graduate of the Atlantic Theatre Company's Dramatic Conservatory and BADA/Oxford's MIO program. Melle is also a member of the New Victory Teaching Artist Ensemble where she is currently working on Speak Up, Act Out(in collaboration with the Lorraine Hansberry project and The Lillies.) ​ Melle is committed to doing her part in adjusting the lens on society's view of "the other", through her original work exploring the movement of bodies, the voice, and words.

Fun Facts: She loves old studio musicals(especially Singin' In the Rain),roller coasters, and despises chocolate!
